Mountainside High School Announcements
BSD is getting schools in shape for the 2010-2011 school year
ImageDuring the past two school board meetings,
the board has approved spending more than
$4.8 million to complete ongoing construction
projects and apply fresh paint or lay new carpet and tile at district schools and the central office. Mountainside High is the most expensive project at about $2.1 million. The school is renovating its restrooms, replacing classroom ceilings and light fixtures and giving the building an overall paint job.

Mountainside renovations are among the "Got To" projects recognized by School Superintendent Richard Bell in January. A combination of Federal Funding, state taxes and Foundation donations will contribute to the required expeditures.
School Pride Opportunities

Show your school pride by wearing your football t-shirt on game days! Small and medium sizes are available for sale in room 121 for $15.00! More school gear will available soon, so be sure to check back with us in the coming weeks. Mrs. Fotto will be taking pictures of students showing the most school spirit and those will be on display in the main hallway all next month!

Have you ever found yourself giving directions to people or describing some of the programs or classes at Moutainside? Well, why not capitalize on that school pride by becoming a Student Ambassador.

The Main Office is looking for current students who will be enrolled for the 2011 school yeat and are available to serve as role models to prospective students. Duties include assisting in campus events such as SMART Start, campus fairs, counselor program planning sessions, and office duties related to incoming student efforts. If you are outgoing, a good public speaker and enjoy working special events - this opportunity is for you.
